The book is just amazing. The story setting starts beyond the banks of River Birim at Akim Oda, a town in the eastern woodlands of Ghana. Akim Oda is the traditional and administrative seat of the Kotoku people where the terrain is undulating, and the tropical forests are full of fruits and food products. The story setting moves to the highways between Accra in Ghana and Lagos in Nigeria It highlights the life of a young woman without family and institutional support systems who had to engage in prostitution in Lagos in order to finance her college education. It details her adventures until an intervention comes in her life. The book thus promotes gender equity in education and highlights the conflicts between feminism and culture. The lack of opportunities for many unfortunate young African girls and the pattern of prostitution in major cities of Africa is detailed and illustrated in the book.

THE AUTHOR
Kwasi Bosompem was born in Ghana and is the founder of Let's Go Africa Foundation, a nonprofit group promoting partnership and providing services for those who have interest in Africa. He served on the Technical Forecasting Committee of the Washington Metropolitan Council of Governments and has worked on several commercial and residential projects and the deployment of number of Telecommunication sites. He has an extensive international urban planning experience in Nigeria, Zimbabwe and South Africa. He is the author of three books.
